Amongst the muddy farms of Tohana, a small town in Sonipat district of Haryana, there is a unique culture of sports building. The region over the years has produced some world class wrestlers in the past. However, this story is about a young 14 year lad named Ajay Malik, son of a wrestling trainer.
Tennis Love of Ajay Malik
Though wrestling runs in his blood, yet his heart lies in tennis. His passion for tennis lead him to win the 2016 National championship. His practice happens on the makeshift muddy courts and he fixes his own rackets due to lack of necessary resources.
Ajay Malik tennis player looks almost like the wrestlers his father trains and performs all the traditional wrestling drills. He dreams to become world number 1 and is confident about his game. His coach Sombir Malik says, he coached Ajay using tricks and tips from Youtube.
Thirteen-year-old Ajay Malik in 2017 won the Under-14 boys singles title at the just-concluded National Tennis Championship at DLTA (Delhi Lawn Tennis Association) Complex. His success is the result of sheer talent, willpower and perseverance.
