Ahmedabad Smash Masters is representing Gujarat\’s metropolitan city of Ahmedabad in the fifth season of Premier Badminton League. They are owned by an Ahmedabad-based Padmanabh Sports. Padmanabh Sports is a subsidiary of Padmanabh Industries, formerly known as Nilchem Industries. The team is captained by the World No. 1 Viktor Axelsen. Last season, this Gujarat team made it to the semifinals of the PBL, where they were narrowly defeated by Bengaluru Blasters by 3-4. In the 2018 Premier Badminton League, they will be captained by Denmark’s Viktor Axelsen, Men’s Singles World No. 1 badminton player.
