The first unsold player from the IPL auction in 2024 is Phil Salt from England. He has been a very prominent player for several teams around the world as an opener in different T20 leagues. Even for England, he has established himself as an opener in recent times. He went unsold in the auction with his base price of 2 crore, and this was the most shocking thing because he is the kind of player who provides two skills with his destructive batting along with his brilliant wicket keeping skills and also has the ability to take the game far away from the opposition in a short span of time.

In the last season, he played some good knocks for the Delhi Capitals. He scored 218 runs with a strike rate of 163. When you look at his overall career in T20 cricket, he has been very impactful throughout his career, with a cracking strike rate of 153, he has scored 5240 runs to date in T20 cricket. There are high chances that a team with the need for a top-order destructive batter who also offers good glove work behind the stumps.

Another player who might get a chance in IPL 2024 after getting unsold in the mini auction is New Zealand young opener Fin Allen. He is another top-order destructive wicketkeeper batter who went unsold in the auction. In the last few seasons, he was on the bench with RCB, but he did not have any chance.

His great century against Pakistan showed his talent to the world once again. He also possesses the ability to win the match on his day. In his overall T20 career, he has played 110 matches and accumulated 3152 runs with a strike rate of 169.09. There are still chances that some teams might call him because of his talent and the form he showed against Pakistan.

Josh Inglis

If a team needs a middle-order destructive wicketkeeper batter, there is no better option than this dynamic Australian wicketkeeper batsman. He plays in middle order and possesses match-winning abilities and 360 games. Inglis scored a brilliant century against India, and even after that, he went unsold in the auction, which was a really shocking thing.

He has got really impressive records in T20 cricket and also while playing for a Perth-based team in the BBL. He has scored 2841 runs with a strike rate of 147.66. Because of his great game against spin, he might get a chance in the IPL 2024.

Another Australian player who might get a chance to play in the IPL even after getting unsold in the mini auction is Matt Short. Last season, he came in as a replacement for Jonny Bairstow but was unable to put on a show with his bat and eventually went unsold in the auction. In recent times, he has raised his performance in T20 cricket, and his recent form in BBL was phenomenal with the bat and with the ball; he also bowled some crucial spells.

He has really improved as a cricketer over the last year and is also a permanent member of the Australian team in white-ball cricket. A team in need of a versatile player who can also bowl some overs might call him for the upcoming season.

Another player who can make an entry in the IPL 2024 is big Australian bowler Josh Hazelwood; he also unexpectedly went unsold in the IPL 2024 auction even after performing amazingly well for the Bangalore-based franchise. He played a crucial role in the bowling lineup of the RCB.

If any bowler of the IPL franchise gets injured, there are high chances that they might call this veteran Australian pacer for the replacement because he has been a really nice T20 bowler for a long time now. So far in his T20 career, he has played 96 matches to date and has bagged 127 wickets.

Michael Bracewell

New Zealand’s spin all-rounder is another player on our list of players who can make a comeback in IPL 2023. Bracewell is an all-rounder who is a very able batter and a very able bowler, and he is also a gun fielder but went unsold in the mini auction. He was with RCB’s camp as a replacement but did not get many chances to feature in the starting eleven.

He has picked up 58 wickets and 2584 runs in 135 matches, at a strike rate of 134.51. Bracewell has the ability to play the same role as Ravindra Jadeja and Mitchell Santner plays for CSK. If any team needs a spin bowling allrounder, he might get a call from the IPL franchise.

Adil Rashid

The last player on our list is England’s spin bowler, Adil Rashid. Adil also went unsold in the auction, but he was expected to get a buyer, but unfortunately nobody picked him. He was part of SRH last season and bowled some good spells, but they released the wrist spinner ahead of the IPL 2024 mini-auction.

He could have been a steal buy for the team at base price if they bid for the spinner, but nobody looked at him. If any team needs a quality spinner, in case of injury to their spinners, they have the quality option of Adil Rashid.
