During the third quarter, both teams were awarded a penalty corner each, but they were unable to convert these opportunities. As a result, the scoreline remained 2-1 in favor of India as they entered the fourth quarter. In the final quarter, Ireland aggressively sought an equalizer, putting pressure on India and earning three penalty corners.
